If you have disabled magic quotes in php.ini, throw away those hacks: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=48

You can switch off error reporting in ip_config file.

line ~38

define('ERRORS_SHOW', 0); //0 if you don't wish to display errors on the page


This what you hosting company advise you is of course best solution (than others disscused here), because you have valid specification for IP :)
