After installing the admin language files, how do I change the language to the new one in the admin? It stays in English.

Thanks,
Mette

ImpressPages has separate language files for frontend and administration panel. Most languages has only frontend translation. If the language you have tried does really have administration panel translations, that means you haven't finished import process. Because after file upload, it shows a preview. You need to confirm those values.

I installed the public and the admin files for Danish. And it uploaded the file, showed the information page, and I clicked confirm. And it said that the language was installed. The public part is working. I have the additional language in my menu. But nothing changed in the admin area. That is why I don't know if I need to switch the language somewhere.

Danish only has the public translations (it is said in description). There's only one file in the archive you've downloaded. Unfortunately, no one from the community has contributed admin translation.
