ImpressPages won 2011 Open Source Awards
ImpressPages - drag and drop CMS - is the winner of 2011 Open Source Awards and is recognized as The Most Promising Open Source Project.
Strong competition
The competition in Open Source Awards is growing every year. Everything started in 2006 and only CMSs participated. In 2011 there are 6 different categories and 2 of them have even 4 subcategories each. That's a massive scale of the awards. It's like GRAMMYs in music.
We were thrilled to compete neck a neck next to such big open source industry players like Joomla, Drupal, jQuery, PrestaShop and others.
Results
We were really confident that this year ImpressPages has its chances to win the competition. It was already recognized in Internet Awards in Lithuania in categories "Best WEB application" and "Export of the Year". It's very promising year and the nomination as the winners of 2011 Open Source Awards confirms that. Here's the official message:
"Packt Publishing is pleased to announce that ImpressPages has won the Most Promising Open Source Project category in the 2011 Open Source Awards."
